Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

1. Overview

StreamClipper is a personal content management tool for individual streamers. This privacy policy describes what data the application collects, how it is used, and how it is stored. Because StreamClipper is a single-owner personal tool and not a public service, the scope of data collection is minimal and limited to what is strictly necessary for operation.

2. Data we collect

StreamClipper stores the following categories of data:

  • Authentication credentials — a hashed password used to access the application. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
  • OAuth tokens — access tokens and refresh tokens issued by connected platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Kick, StreamElements) when the owner authorizes the application. These tokens are stored in the application's database and used exclusively to perform API operations on behalf of the owner.
  • User settings and preferences — channel usernames, scheduling configuration, and application preferences entered by the owner.
  • Analytics snapshots — periodic snapshots of publicly available channel statistics (follower counts, view counts) fetched from connected platforms, stored locally for historical trend tracking.
  • Processed media files — video clips and processed files stored temporarily on the server during processing and publishing workflows.
3. How we use this data

Collected data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Authenticating the owner's access to the application
  • Making authorized API calls to connected platforms on behalf of the owner
  • Storing preferences and configuration for the application's features
  • Displaying historical analytics trends within the application

Data is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the application.

4. Third-party platform integrations

StreamClipper integrates with the following third-party platforms. When you connect a platform, its OAuth authorization screen will display the permissions requested. StreamClipper requests only the minimum permissions necessary for each integration.

OAuth tokens obtained from these platforms are stored locally in the application's database and are never shared with any other third party.

5. Data storage and security

All data is stored in a database on the server or device controlled by the application owner. No data is stored on external servers operated by the application developer. The owner is responsible for securing the server environment on which StreamClipper runs.

6. Data retention

OAuth tokens and platform connection data are retained until the owner disconnects the respective platform within the application or manually deletes the data. Analytics snapshots are retained indefinitely for historical trending purposes and can be cleared by the owner at any time.

7. No data sharing

StreamClipper does not sell, trade, rent, or share any collected data with third parties, except as required to perform authorized API operations on the connected platforms (e.g., sending a video file to YouTube during upload).

8. Your rights

As the owner and sole user of this application, you have full control over all stored data. You can disconnect any platform at any time from the Settings page, which removes the associated OAuth tokens. To request complete data deletion, contact us at the address below.

9. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
